Historic Designation

Sumner Hill is registered as a National Historic District. The Board of Directors is currently exploring local designation in the form of an Architectural Conservation District. We are planning an association wide meeting on October 14, 2008 (Location TBA) to discuss the pros and cons of such a designation and what it would mean to the residents of Sumner Hill.

Streetlights

Streetlights are good. Still working on this part of the site.

Basically we are asking the city to eliminate the rectaliniar and cobra lights and replace them with acorn lights. This project was started by the city in 1989 and stopped. You can see the square cutouts in the sidewalks on several streets on the hill
